On Sunday the 20th of December we will be holding a “TEAM PLACEMENT DAY” during which any student wishing to do competitive all-star cheer in 2016 will need to attend so that coaches can assess their skill level, experience and abilities in order to correctly place them into teams.
(Tiny Cheer “Kittens” and Mini Cheer “Cubs” do NOT need to try out)
Cost to attend placement day is $10 per athlete paid on the day. (Anyone unable to make it to placement day will need to arrange a 1/2 hour private lesson for $20 in which their skills will be assessed individually)
ALL STUDENTS WHO ATTEND TEAM PLACEMENT DAY ARE GUARENTEED A POSITION ON A 2016 ALL STAR CHEER TEAM!
Placement day times are as follows:
Junior & Open: 10:00AM – 11:00AM
ELITE DANCE TEAM AUDITIONS!!
Any student wishing to join one of our competitive dance teams must attend an open audition so that they can be assessed on technique, skills, confidence and ability to perform complex choreography.
Our 2016 competitive dance teams will only have limited numbers available on each team and will be best suited to elite level dancers.We are starting from a “clean slate” so all past elite team students must re-audition to secure a position for 2016.
To be eligible for an Elite dance team you must be currently enrolled in another class at Prestige or take a weekly private lesson with Miss Kristy.
Elite Dance Team Audition Date: Sunday 20th December
Open Elite Hip Hop Audition: 11:00AM – 11:30AM
- Consists of learning a short combo and performing it in groups.
Open Elite Modern/Contemporary Audition: 11:30AM - 12:00PM
- Starting with Kicks & Leaps, then learning a quick combo including fouettes & skills.
* Cost of dance auditions is $10 per athlete regardless if only doing one or both. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your session so you may stretch and fill out necessary paperwork.
