iSalon Tango, put together with Gina and Pat's love of traditional Argentine Tango, within the professional dance organisation of ijig. We aim to put together high quality Milongas at reasonable door prices. We only use venues with good dance floors, professional sound systems and professional specialist DJs. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy - whether to dance, watch, listen or socialise.
Next Milonga will be at Marriotts School in Stevenage, Hertfordshire on Sunday 24th May 2014 - 8pm until 2am.. The Milonga starts with a an open complimentary "milonga class" with Beto - between 8pm and 9pm.
Traditional Golden Era music - Argentine tango, vals & milonga, played in tandas by DJ Barry Leadbetter and Beto Ortiz until 2am. No need to book in advance, £15 on the door. Large free car park, just of Brittain Way, Stevenage. Licensed bar and snack bar at venue.
The Milonga dance hall will run alongside 3 further dance halls offer 3 further styles of dancing (Blues, WCS and Funky Modern jive). You are welcome to move around the venue as you wish and watch/dance different styles - line up of 8 specialist DJs.
NEXT AFTERNOON iSalonTango SUNSET MILONGA: - 14th September 2014 - 4pm till 8pm will be held at Onslow St Audrey's School in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Free on-site parking and close to Hatfield BR Station. Large Venue. Licensed bar (wine/beer,soft drinks). Complimentary hot beverages, nibbles. Open option of you joining a "milonga" class with Beto Ortiz at 3.30pm to 4,30pm in first Dance Hall. With another option of joining a Nuevo tango class with Mark Aston in our Second Dance Hall - 7pm until 8pm - (all included in the one price of £8 door entry).
