Last heard in Frome at the relaunch of Frome Jazz Club in March, with a funk blowout that set the club firmly into its high octane groove, guitarist Andy Christie returns by popular demand for another funk-driven launch event - this time of our move to a later slot on Thursday evenings.
For our first Thu event at the Cornerhouse we've searched further afield for material to groove to - alongside funk classics and originals, we will be putting a twist on music from Brittany, Cornwall, Greece, Ireland, and Scotland. Andy is appearing with Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano), Chris Jones (double bass) and Jim White (drums).
The event starts at 8pm at The Cornerhouse (1 Christchurch Street East, Frome, Somerset BA11 1QA - telephone 01373 472042). As for all Frome Jazz Club events, entry is free, and early arrival is advised.
