2014 has been a wonderful year in the long history of Whelan's as we celebrated our 25th Anniversary. We coaxed a few of our favourites artists back for some incredibly special nights. Those that were lucky enough to have gotten tickets will never forget the time The Frames gave everyone a free bar, the time that Damien Rice returned with new songs and a brilliant new album, the time Hozier thrilled a packed house just before he took the world by storm plus many many more unforgettable nights. Other special moments included hosting a stage at this years Longitude Festival and winning the Hotpress & IMRO* Live Music Venue of the year awards (*Dublin).

To round off the Whelan's 25th Anniversary Celebrations will host a band who, like us, have also been having an incredible year, The Riptide Movement. They signed to Universal Records, Sold Out Vicar St and their 3rd album 'Getting Through' which had the massive radio hit "All Works Out" went GOLD in the Irish Album charts. Not bad at all.
