We are pleased to announce that Jon Campbell will launch his debut EP 'About A Boy' in BERLIN on the 7th April with an intimate in-the-round acoustic concert with acoustic guitar, piano and string section moving up to the stage with electro & alt-rock tracks from the EP and Jon's forthcoming album featuring drums, brass and electronics.
Support comes from Synth-Pop duo Dievondavon who will perform upbeat electro tracks at the aftershow party amongst a DJ SET of the great and good of the new & old of the LGBT music movement (Indie/HipHop/Rock/Electro/Dance/Orchestral/Avantgarde) from Jamie of The Irrepressibles
Jon Campbell is an american singer-songwriter and visual artist based in Berlin. His music brings together threads of anti-folk, singer-songerwriter and alt-country with a powerfully honest expression of his homosexuality. Jon Campbell’s unique velvet baritone voice immediately draws comparisons to Chet Baker, Stephin Merrit and Leonard Cohen - artists who've greatly inspired his work.
Jon’s debut EP 'About A Boy' was released through Of Naked Design Records on February 29th, 2016. Combining songs from his youth and the present with production and string, brass and piano arrangements by Jamie Irrepressible, of UK band 'The Irrepressibles'.
Jon will be showcasing songs from the EP as well as others with his 7-piece band including piano, strings, brass, double bass and drums, in an intimate setting at Monster Ronson's, on Thursday, April 7.
Support comes from Berlin-based synthpop duo DIEVONDAVON, who will also be performing that night, as well as a DJ set from special guest JAMIE IRREPRESIBLE, of The Irrepressibles.
