Party: Louisa LaBarbera Presents: Jazz Jam and Fundraising Fortieth Birthday Bash in Support of MusiCounts!

Louisa LaBarbera was born into the Toronto jazz scene. From an early age she spent countless nights enjoying live music, including her father, saxophone player Pat LaBarbera. As she developed her own friendships in the jazz community during her 20s and 30s, her attendance at live music performances only increased. Louisa’s work as a jewellery designer has adorned many local as well as international acts, including Sophie Milman, Terra Hazelton, Sophia Perlman, Brandi Disterheft, Christine Jensen and countless others.

Her desire for her 40th birthday is to bring the community together for a great cause. This event is open beyond Louisa’s friends and family to any and all lovers of live jazz—come to jam or just to celebrate!

There will be three sets of live jazz. The first features a playlist of Louisa’s choosing, including performances by Pat LaBarbera, Terra Hazelton, Sophia Perlman and many others. The second and third sets with be an open jam led by Chris Gale and a band of amazing musicians.
