Training for performers and choreographers Part 2

Facilitated by Certified Teachers of Body-Mind Centering® Otto Ramstad & Olive Bieringa

New 120 hour certification in Minneapolis, Minnesota in June and December 2015 + drop in morning classes 10-1pm!

Utilizing the somatic approach of Body-Mind Centering® Olive Bieringa and Otto Ramstad will lead an embodied practice in movement expression and creation. Body-Mind Centering® utilizes experiential study through application of anatomical, physiological, and developmental principles in hands on practice, movement, and sound explorations. Participants will refine their creative process and performance work through self-study and group exploration. This training will enable participants to experience—in the present—how an understanding of their evolutionary past directly influences their life and their art

Module 1: Embodied Performance Studies June 2015

Module 2: Embodied Creative Process invites participants to deeply assess what aspects of themselves they utilize and what aspects require development in their creative processes. Focus will be placed on challenging artists to take risks and discover new approaches to making work.

Classes run Monday to Friday 10am-5pm. Here is the class focus for each morning drop in class in Minneapolis in December:

Monday 7th: Contents and Container
Tuesday 8th: Fluid Affinities
Wednesday 9th: Endocrine Expression
Thursday 10th: Senses and Perception
Friday 11th: Senses and Perception
Monday 14th: Taking Hold and Letting Go
Tuesday 15th: Balancing the Three Brains
Wednesday 16th: Embryology

Modules can be taken separately or together, however people unfamiliar with BMC would be better taking module 1 before module 2. Priority will be given to people who have participated in Module 1.

Cost $750 per module or $1300 for both. Morning drop in classes $35. Register early as space is limited to 25.
