We are Swing Knights— UCF's own swing dancing student organization. Proudly partnered with multiple National Swing Champions JOEL GREEN & LACY WARD, every semester we host a series of weekly, progressive swing lessons for both UCF students and Orlando locals to enjoy. There are just a few more weeks left in the spring semester series, however it is never too late to get started! Join us this week for another awesome Charleston lesson, continuing on the basics we learned last week.

Every March & April, Swing Knights hosts its annual officer elections. Any UCF student and swing knights member can nominate themselves or somebody else for one of the 6 positions available for the 2016-2017 school year: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Technical Secretary, Public Relations, and Events Coordinator. We will be discussing the specifics of each of these roles in class this week as well as hearing from our candidates how they would utilize their position to better the club. Swing Knights members will then vote on who they think would be the better candidate for each position. Only active student members are elligible to vote and run in elections. Good luck to those running!

This weeks lesson and nomination time will take place from 9pm til 11pm in the UCF Student Union Garden Key Ballroom, room 221. Both Students and Non-Students are welcome to attend and participate in the lesson and nomination process.

Schedule:

➢ Beginner Lesson: 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm
➢ Intermediate Lesson: 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm
➢ Officer Elections: 11:00 pm

Membership & Pricing:

➢ $5 donation for one lesson, $8 for both OR
➢ $40 Semester Membership (UCF students only)
➢ $30 Returning student membership
