Party: SHE MAKES WAR

Bristol based gloom-pop solo artist She Makes War embarks on her first UK headline tour on 12th March 2015. Following on from a 6 week tour of Europe and the UK in the autumn, culminating in 12 O2 Academy dates with folk rockers The Levellers, she and her band will be premiering songs from third album “Direction Of Travel”, due for release in June.
!A pacifist force of nature with a punk spirit and a serious work ethic, She Makes War’s mission is a peaceful but provocative one - to create breathtakingly honest music and share her art (and her heart) with the world, levelling with her community of music lovers as peers. Her inimitable brand of melancholy, grungey rock with a modern twist has been alikened to Blood Red Shoes, Throwing Muses and Bon Iver and she’s regularly dubbed the “DIY Queen” due to her fiercely independent streak.
!As The Quietus remarked after witnessing one of SMW’s regular “Breakfast With Apollo” music nights - “Why just sing songs, when you can build worlds?”
