Party: SHAKE YER DIX GOES DOWN UNDER: CUT COPY x PRESETS SPECIAL

How awesome are Cut Copy and The Presets? Titans of synth, they've been quietly churning out after dancefloor beast since way back before we shook our Dix...

Future. Meet Me In a House of Love. Are You The One. Talk Like That. My People. Footsteps. Need You Now. Ghosts. Hearts on Fire. Youth In Trouble. Kicking and Screaming. Ghosts. Take Me Over. Far Away. Yippiyo-Ay. Lights and Music. Promises. This Boy's In Love. Take Me Over. Free Your Mind.

After being floored by Free Your Mind and The Presets' deadly new track No Fun leaving us on our knees, begging for another album (we'll do ANYTHING, boys!), Dix is taking over both floors of our new home DSS to celebrate this.

There's a brutal soundsystem, an awesome laser rig down in the rave cave, two floors of East End hotness and draught beer all night - pretty much perfect.

MUSICS

We'll be playing every hit from every album alongside some lesser-known moments of genius from these guys. With with a side order of fellow Aussies Miami Horror, Bag Raiders, Pnau, Chela and Midnight Juggernauts.

Filling in our cracks will be Dix's trademark twisted blend of electroclash and synth from the likez of Crystal Castles, Fischerspooner, Beth Ditto, Peaches, Grimes and Vitalic...

Michael Kelly (Douchebag), Laurence and the Machine (Everywhere) and Viv Charpentier (REAL AUSTRALIAN!) will be werking the laser pit decks for maximum dancefloor pleasure.

UPSTAIRS

On the ground floor there'll be a creamy mix of interesting 80s, guitars and some fluffier electronica from the likes of Charli XCX courtesy of Little Bastard (music obsessive and journalist for @polarimagazine) and Stuart Tennant (AKA STU.F.O.) And some other local jocks we'll pick up on the street beforehand.

GAY FOR SYNTH.
